Tank House

A simple two bed and music room children’s wing addition to a hinterland log cabin, presents as a seemingly collapsing, farm building as its roof line parallels the downhill gradient. Architect and client had worked on many projects together. The extension, though starkly contrasting with the robust, earthy cabin became the experimental ground for a lightweight addition that allowed for improvised detailing and repurposed building components.
